Country House

A grand country house venue just outside Medway with elegant reception rooms and beautifully kept grounds. The period architecture and high ceilings make it one of the most impressive baby shower settings in the area, well suited to larger guest lists and premium styling.

Styling tip: Champagne, blush and ivory palettes complement the period interiors beautifully. The generous ceiling height gives room for a statement backdrop garland — 8–10ft works especially well here.

Cooling Castle Barn

Barn Venue

A stunning converted barn within the grounds of a 14th-century castle in the Hoo Peninsula — a landscape immortalised by Charles Dickens in Great Expectations. Exposed stone walls and original timber beams give the space a warmth and character that very few venues can match.

Styling tip: Organic earthy palettes shine here — sage, warm cream, dried grasses and soft terracotta all feel right at home among the natural materials of the barn.

The Corn Exchange, Rochester

Event Space

A beautifully restored historic building in Rochester city centre, moments from the cathedral. The Corn Exchange's high ceilings and architectural detail make it a genuinely memorable setting for a daytime baby shower, with excellent natural light from the upper windows.

Styling tip: The height of the space rewards a bold approach. A large-scale backdrop garland at full ceiling height creates a stunning focal point that photographs beautifully in the natural light.

The Boat House

Riverside

A riverside venue with views over the Medway estuary. The relaxed waterside atmosphere makes it a lovely setting for a more informal baby shower — private dining and event areas available, with beautiful natural light from the water-facing windows.

Styling tip: Soft muted pastels, light blues and naturals complement the waterside setting perfectly. A cake table cluster and photo corner work especially well in the lighter rooms nearest the water.
